D'Addazio Marika

I am an Energy and Nuclear Engineer enrolled in the 39th PhD cycles in Energetics in collaboration with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL, USA). My PhD research activity is focused on the design and the optimization of the magnetic and mechanical structure of various 20 T hybrid magnet configurations and on the analysis of the mechanical behavior of superconducting cables for particle accelerators and fusion machines.

During the second and third PhD years, I will spend 18 months at LBNL in the ATAP Division under the supervision of Drs. P. Ferracin and G. Vallone. The purpose of this period abroad will be participating in the fabrication and testing of superconducting coils contributing to the analysis of the experimental results.
