Nicoli Matteo

I am an Energy and Nuclear Engineer currently involved in the 37^th PhD cycle in Energetics, in collaboration with ENI. My research activity is focused on the field of Energy System Optimization Models and, specifically, finalized to the development of innovative modeling strategies and tools to assess the possible future penetration of nuclear fusion in the energy mix.

My work is concentrated on:

• Energy storage technologies modeling, in collaboration with NCSU
• Extension and further development of the open-source modeling tool TEMOA
• Maintenance and development of the TEMOA-Italy model
• Maintenance and development of the TIMES-Italy model, in collaboration with ENEA
