Placido Daniele

I am an Energy and Nuclear Engineer enrolled in the 37th PhD cycles in Energetics in collaboration with ENI. My research field concerns the development of open-access software for the analysis of electro-magnetic and thermal-hydraulic transients in superconducting cables for fusion and power applications, cooled by a cryogen in forced flow. The software, called Opensc2, is developed exploiting OOP in Python3 jointly with TDD.

In 2022, I was awarded for the best M.Sc. thesis in the field of thermal-fluid dynamics “Object-oriented modeling of LTS and HTS superconducting cables” form the Thermal-fluid dynamics Italian Union.

In mid-2023 I will spend six months as a visiting student at MIT collaborating with professor Z. Hartwig and Dr. N. Riva
