Matteo Nicoli started his joint research activity at North Carolina State University

On March 20th 2023, our PhD student Matteo Nicoli moved to North Carolina State University and started a joint research activity finalized to energy storage technologies modeling and assessment through energy system optimization models. The activity will be carried out in collaboration with Prof. Anderson de Queiroz and the PhD student Victor Duraes De Faria.

Daniele Lerede's PhD dissertation

Last 9 March Daniele Lerede was awarded the PhD in Energetics cum laude defending his PhD thesis "Development of an open-source and open-data energy system optimization model for the analysis of the European energy mix".

Our PhD student Gianvito Colucci presented a paper written with Matteo Nicoli, Daniele Lerede and Laura Savoldi during the 14th International Conference on Applied Energy, hosted by Ruhr University Bochum in Germany from August 8 to 12, 2022. The paper has been further recommended for pubblication in a special issue of Applied Energy or Advances in Applied Energy.
